I have norton antivirus 2006 on my windows xp and for some odd reason, when i click on the icon on the bottom right of the screen, norton antivirus opens up but it doesnt show the middle of it, it just shows the top bar and the border of it, the middle shows my desktop behind it, and it also requires control alt delete to close, bec/ clicking 'x' doesnt work. Can anyone tell me whats wrong and how to fix this, i can not see the status of my computer or run a system scan. P.S. i DO have over 100 days of subscription left, so thats not the problem.

Hate to tell you that Nortons is an expert at slick marketing skills, but fails to perform. Each and every year they continue to get worse instead of learning from their mistakes. My suggestion, save yourself pain and get rid of the junk.

There are free programs with state of the art technology that is light years ahead of what Nortons will ever be.

In case you don't know when you remove Nortons, you will be left with over 375 fragments glued to all of your files, folders, registry and hidden all over your system. This in itself is a nightmare trying to remove them as they cause conflict with your system.

Here is an excellent from antivirus program from AOL, Active Virus Shield powred by Kaspersky Lab of Russia. Rated # 1 in the world for virus detection. You will get auto updates every hour on the hour, plus an excellent background scanner that really works great. AOL, will only ask you for your email so they can send you a free key good for one year. After one year just request a new key.
