My Cpu is Intel pentium 4 processor with 2.4Ghz ..but now days both system and bios show intel celeron 8.4Ghz whats the problem

I've been getting this message "Your sound card doesn't support hardware buffering". I'm running Windows XP Pro. I have a Creative Sound Blaster PCI card. It also tells me the same thing with the built in card on the motherboard. I used this same card on a Dell computer and never had that problem. I have also noticed a drop in the quality of the sound in videos and some mp3s. Can anyone help?

So I decided to go for XP repair and when i try to fix the problem with repair console it ask me to enter a command after C:\WINDOWS please tell me what shall i do as the roblem has occured on my server and i run a cyber cafe

well my computer has 4 different sides and im not allowed to go on myspace but i do anyway and my mom found out i was goin on it when she wasn't home and she found out in her history section if i go on my side and go on myspace it will pop up in that sides history but can my mom access it from her side of the computer????

when i boot up my computer a blue screen comes on that says can't load file , corrupt , unwritable or something , dumping physical memory into disk. what's the problem? Can I fix it? I tried putting it in safe mode. and everything else i can think of. please help me somebody.

i have a wireless network and am trying to add security to signal being broadcast from my wireless router, im using my laptop to do this...

i have download several guides on how to do it with vista, but anytime i configure a secure connection i get locked out of my own network... and can't reconnect so im stuck with having an unsecure wireless network...

i follow this guide and use:

security type: WPA-Personal
Encryption type: TKIP
Network secuirty key: a password

as soon as i enable the security i can't connect to rest of the network.... i so don't get it....

I bought this wireless LAN USB adapter just a while ago.
I installed it correctly, and the PSP detects it 100%.
But it says "Communication with the server failed. (80432060)" when loading pages...
How can I fix this?

My msn friend sent me a link and I clicked on it. The next thing I knew I had pop-ups coming every now and then. She said that when you click on it, the virus is IM-ed to other people and if they click on the link, they have the virus. She said that her pics were missing and I found it weird 'cause Norton Anti-Virus didn't say there was a virus. I just confused myself. All I know is HELP!!!

Please read the question criteria. On any system (I now use windows XPpro but may go to linux) you want it to be at the best performance it can be. Please don't answer with the most obvious answers like defrag, clean up files.... I realize when you keep installing more programs on a pc the system usually slows down from processes running in the backround. Please base your answer on a freshly installed operating system with no added programs. You may think the system is as fast as it can get but there are still programs running in the backround. I was told there is a keystroke you can press to manually accept programs to start, maybe that would be a great place to start... or would you say linux is faster? And I also realize it depends on how your computer was put together with which hardwares that work together or conflict

all the leads are connected to the right sockets, paper is in the printer, ink cartridge is in the printer, it's the right cartridge. printer is installed to the computer. i have tried disconnecting all leads, turning the computer and printer off, and starting from scratch, but still a message comes up saying that communication is not available.

when i start up my computer .. after the windowsXP logo appears.. an error message stating "STOP:C00000021a {fatal} System error. The session manager initialization process terminated unexpected with a status OXC00000263
The system has been shut down" appears momentariously and my system automatically restarts and the cycle continues.. pls help me to rectify this error..
