all the leads are connected to the right sockets, paper is in the printer, ink cartridge is in the printer, it's the right cartridge. printer is installed to the computer. i have tried disconnecting all leads, turning the computer and printer off, and starting from scratch, but still a message comes up saying that communication is not available.

Because whilst you were asleep last night the printer had been misbehaving quite a lot, and so the computer is 'not in the mood' to talk right now.

Maybe things will get better tomorrow.

Why not just put the kettle on?

I have a wireless labtop and wireless printer but it states that the computer is unable to establish a 2 way communication with the printer

go on to hardware in control panal and see if it is on there under USB. if not totally uninstall all printer software and drivers. restart computer and then reinstall. HP have a lot of problems with first time installs. most other makes are not as bad.

You should have a disc that came with the printer, put the disc into the computer and upload the information to the hard drive, then it will be able to communicate better.

If it is a USB printer, try another USB port and check the system bios to see if the USB ports are enabled. They should be by default. You can also look to see in the system icon in Control Panel\device drivers to see if you printer was detected by the operating system.

I was also trying to connect my HP Printer to my PC but
unable to connect it. I tried a lot however

try uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers. also check it is highlighted as your default printer. other than that you may have a port problem

have you tried unistalling it but with hp you cant uninstall because there plug and play
