I have burnt a new CD with XP pro dump, which was saved on my computer hard drive. I verifyied the CD, after starting the windows & inserting the CD in the drive, it auto-runs.

My question is: As I want to re-install XP using this new burnt CD, I want to make sure that will my computer boot up from this CD ?

I've had a laptop returned to me, from a field employee that, won't turn on. It is fairly new. It has a CentrinoDuo processor. The battery physically tests at 50% power, but the laptop is getting no juice. I've tried plugging in the a/c. I've also tried plugging in the a/c and removing the battery. Nothing seems to get the laptop to turn on or receive any juice whatsoever. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!! :)

How can i tell if someone is using my wireless network?
Sometimes in the night around 10pm-12am...a little message pops up while i AM connected to my wireless network saying 'you are now connected to the netgear network'
It happens almost every night if i am on at that time....what i want to know is, is someone constantly using my network and going on at that specific time or is it just my wireless network reminding me i'm connected?
There's 2 other PCS in my house which share my network and i know it's not them because one is constantly connected all day and the other is barely used except for some time during the day.
Please shed some light on the situation for me.
P.S: I'm not very good with wireless networking so i wouldn't know how to secure it properly without messing up some settings or other.

i have mainboard that have intel 845GV chipset and i don`t have driver for this chipset !

I have a Intel Celeron D 2.8GHz PC with 14" Monitor. It uses about 180W of power on a 230V grid. My power bill isn't exactly home friendly now. I need to know if there is a Power Supply Unit that uses less power. One guy on a chat channel said his PC consumes power less than a light bulb. I really need away to lower my power bill. I use the PC a lot.

I have questions about creating a job search web site. When a user type in a word on the "keyword" field on the form then what field on the database table it should use? The job records have job description and job title field but that description field has lots of words in it.

Even that field is indexed, the sql query will search for something like %sales% in MySQL. Will that be a big issue in terms of performance and speed? Should I have an extra field on the job table contains specific skills field so it will be smaller to search for instead of using description?

Any idea will be welcome.
