The connection might be getting dropped and then reconnected. When you become connected, that is when that message pops up.

Are you using encoded WEP protection so a user needs to know the password before they can log on? Also do you have a program like Internet Security 2007 from Trend Micro or some other security system keep others out of your network? Are you running a Netgear router which would make YOUR network a Netgear Network? You may not have a problem but i will bet you are not a secure password protected network which is open to anyone who can receive you wireless signal.

Unless you have a router by the brand name of Netgear you are the interloper logging onto someone else's router.
To prevent others from logging onto your network turn on the wireless encryption.
You will have to enter a code when logging onto your network it will not be as convenient for you.
There is no shortage of "open " routers. 60 % of routers are said to be open.
To turn on encryption first you have to get into your router control panel
Either get the manual, go online and get the manual and/or call tech support of the router company
Explain that wish to enable encryption in the wireless router model ,,,,,,,
Most routers are either Dlink or Linksys generally
The procedure is
1) you get into the control panel by entering a number in your browser
dlink is http://192.168.0.1
Linksys is http;//192.168.1.1
You will be at a control panel
user is usually admin
password is usually admin or blank
next go to the wireless setup
enable encryption ( sometimes called security)
The most common used are wep and wap
Wep 64 is the easiest
You generate a code with a passphrase generator- you turn it on , you put a phrase in - say yahoo and it generates the code that you must enter to log on
Thats all
It is just a series of step
Call tech support of the router if it is all too complex
If you want to know if you have an inteloper this program will create a map and warn you when intruders come in.

after the first 30 days of the trial you will have the basic version of network magic which will still have that function

This is not a security problem, but you do need to enable your security! You need to go to the network settings for the router and enable WEP. Then enter the key into your other computers in the house. Finally, since you are not an expert, get a program called Network Magic. www.networkmagic.com which will not only improve your connectivity and help with problems, but it will tell you if an "unknown" computer is on your network at any time.

Go into your router configuration as in the manual, go to the dhcp settings and increase the lease time to 28 days, it is set currently at 1 day, or several hours, and this is when it renews it's lease. Nothing to worry about.

I agree with the first answer. I don't think anybody is getting on. It looks like you are momentarily getting dropped from your network.

Mine is security enabled, so no one body can use it, unless they have my password.
