Than how can I connect the modem to laptop and acess internet in my laptop.please explain berifly .

Here are the details. I have an Exisisting Clone PC P4 1.7Ghz 1GB ram, 120 HD, ASUS P4S333-VM Motherboard, and a Have a Dell with a P4 2.6Ghz Processor, but the dell pc wont boot up, the technician said that the motherboard is fried up.

Now I want to switch their processors. They both have pins. My motherboard's manual said it can support up to 3.2 Ghz Processors. what should i do next? do i need to change something in the bios or something? or i just put the processors in the socket?

In April, 2007, Hughes established a "new" fair act policy that limits download thresholds to 200 MB PER 24-hour period! The "old" system was 175 MB PER 4-hour period - and they say this is better??? I say I'm losing 850 MB per 24-hour period!!!
If you download any movies for iPod (purchased legally) it's WAY too much for this "new" threshold. Then you are kicked back to EXTREMELY slow browsing speeds (that usually say "Suspected Satellite Outage has occurred" and nothing will load) for 24 hours.
This is putting a HUGE cramp in my on-line business, as well as research & general browsing! Any suggestions?

I got my HP laptop NC4010. and it always boot to a blue screen. So I was thinking to try update the bios. Problem is, the laptop doesn't have floppy drive nor cd-drive. Its all external.

I was wondering if it is possible to flash the bios with usb memory stick?

or any better ideas?

i have internet as brodband....the thing is.......telephone,cable
and net is all together....so the thing is he gave a modem which is with a brodband cable and ethernet cable connectd to the system and that modem. so the thing is i have a router of netgear and i have adapter of BUFFALO AIR STATION G54 OF MODEL : WL1-U2-KG54.( for which
i dont have s/w cd) so wat to do. my system is in the upstairs and how can i solve it.....tell me and i need that airstation s/w drivers wat to do. i searched in the net but couldnt get it wat to do......for everything i need to come down and check and to do so wat shall i do.

I have a mouse with a Compaq and it is simple, has a left click and right click and center scroll down dealie. Last night it started acting up. I don't think it is dirt, I cleaned it out, but once someone said to me it has to do with like "asking it to do too much by some setting or such ? Last night also my puter was running slow. I know I must sound completely blonde but if I bought an all in one printer/fax/scanner/copier where do I have to plug in the fax?
