I know how to hide it, but I want it gone. I just want to turn it off. Can this be done? There doesn't seem to be any options under the Dock preferences.

Yea this is not a question.

I get it.

I am just sick of people telling other people that the reason their ram is not working is because "It needs to be in pairs, LOL".

Simm memory modules and RDRAM modules are the ONLY MEMORY VERSIONS THAT REQUIRED PAIRING. BOTH OF WHICH ARE NO LONGER USED FOR SYSTEM MEMORY.

Current memory modules do not require pairing.

Though you can get a performance benefit out of running a matched pair of memory in Dual Channel mode.

BUT IT IS NOT REQUIRED!


Sorry, I just needed to get that out. Boy do I feel better.

I have Noticed that my ADSL Brandband Speed Changes at Night Times .


In the Day it Runs around 4MB Sec and at Night Times Runs at around Half ?

Why the Hell is it doing this ?

I currently run windows XP on my laptop. The laptop has became soooo slow, i think because it has so much rubbish on like programs i don't use or need any more. I have bought a windows Vista Home basic disk to go on my laptop. I would like to remove every single file on the computer and every single Windows XP file and put Vista onto it so that the hard drive only has the Vista installation on and the system performs like its brand new.

I'm thinking about going into game design, and I want to know a fast and easy way to learn Java Script. There's this program for Macs, called Unity, that lets you design games for the Macintosh platform. The only problem is that they reccomend you to use Java Script. Any ideas?

Is there a book? I want to know what has to be running on my lap top and what i can delete or move. All the file names and extentions seem impossible to know what they do why they are there.... The Commodore and Amiga computers were so much more user friendly. I miss the file system from my old Amiga.........

ok so i asked a question yesterday about my battery-deteriorating iPod mini and i got an answer from a user saying that if you go to this website [http://hesitantlyfdaed.blogspot.com/...] they will send you a free iPod. i checked some of the questions the user answered and all of their answers contain that site in it. I was tinkering with keyboard shortcuts and accidently programmed the key for open and close quotes. It now produces ("") when I press the shift key when it should just yield ("). I tried to repair it but repairing brought me more complicated issues!

I have never installed xp as a clean install, only 98. Its for a friend, the one I have asked SO many questions for and I am going to attempt to help her on the phone with it. What my question is, she has 98 with a messed up config.sys file right now and it won't boot up except for safe mode. I am hoping she can install this xp anyway, without having to reformat first. Also, please don't neglect this question: I've been told if you have 98 its best to do the upgrade, but she'd like full xp so please tell me if that can be done simply by popping in the cd and following the commands to do a full install.

it shuts off automatically after 3 or 5 minutes if i sont touch it whats up with that.

and im not talking about the SCREEN SAVER comming on. It doesnt even come on anymore. It just goes into hibernation mode after a few minutes and i have to start my pc back up.

whats up with that? what can i do so my pc can just stay on.
