In April, 2007, Hughes established a "new" fair act policy that limits download thresholds to 200 MB PER 24-hour period! The "old" system was 175 MB PER 4-hour period - and they say this is better??? I say I'm losing 850 MB per 24-hour period!!!
If you download any movies for iPod (purchased legally) it's WAY too much for this "new" threshold. Then you are kicked back to EXTREMELY slow browsing speeds (that usually say "Suspected Satellite Outage has occurred" and nothing will load) for 24 hours.
This is putting a HUGE cramp in my on-line business, as well as research & general browsing! Any suggestions?

Well it sounds like Hughes realized that they don't have enough bandwidth for all their users and put a cap on it to alieviate that situation. If I am correct they are like most other "home" use suppliers. They really didn't intend business use.

They may have an upgraded plan (read pay them more) for what you need. Or you might need a business class ISP.
