Firefox is very easy to use and to install. Go to firefox.com and select Download Firefox Free, save the file. I recommend saving it to your desktop. (When you select save file, a new window will come up to select where. Click on the drop down menu and select desktop.) Close your browser, and double click on the firefox setup icon. Follow the wizard.

Your question is lacking a full explanation. If you want Mozzilla Firefox,go here http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_installer_new.html?ciNum=11 Follow the instructions. It's free.If you have it : left click on HELP,choose check for updates, update if there are any. # 2. Internet Explorer, Go to : http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us click on CUSTOM. Install all updates. This will update both browsers to the most" protection" THEY will give you. Mozzilla is best protection I hear. You need VIRUS PROTECTION Like # Norton or MCaffee Virus protection programs. Also Install and use SPYBOT search and Destroy 1.4 Also free at http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3641-8022_4-9491930.htmlt Be sure to IMMUNIZE with it.And check the Allow permanent blocking box.It takes about 5-10 minutes to run.If it don't you didn't turn it on right.Work with it a bit.Once you understand how it works it's terrific.Lots of copy-cats that charge. Its FREE or your at the wrong website BEWARE.You can donate to it When YOU want(after you get it for free) or not. It's still free. It's NOT a virus scanner though.Hope this helps.Good luck.

If you want to switch to Firefox (excellent program - high recommend) go to http://firefox.com and download it for free.

If you are looking for Internet protection, that is a different issue. You probably are looking for a spyware scanner. Go to http://download.com and get Spybot Seek&Destroy for free. You will need to run it about once a week (takes about 15-30 minutes) to be keep your PC clean of any spyware or other harmful programs from the Internet.

I am assuming that you have a virus scanner on your PC. If not, while at download.com, get and install a copy of "AVG Free". It will run in the background and protect your computer from viruses (which are different from spyware).

I would suggest you download the latest version of Firefox from www.mozilla.com then get McAfee Siteadvisor which tells you with a little green, yellow or red bar if the site is good or not. Here is the link www.siteadvisor.com.
