3 days ago pulled out my 2 sticks of pc2700 each 512, and installed 2 sticks of PNY 1g pc3200. Wow, a huge difference in games and working in my p2p/share. (but it wasn't REALLY that big ...)
But a RAM increase this much seems like it would generate more heat, could I find an internal fan to clip onto the case for them?
and what kind of power source would it have?

I'm trying to use Windows Media Player to burn some more mp3 songs to my partially full CD-RW. The program instructs me to insert a blank CD. I put in my CD-RW and get the same instructions again and the CD-RW ejects. Is there a way to use a partially full CD-RW with Windows Media Player?

when i run a programme called no trace,it is set to come on automatically when it does it runs for a bit then a blue oblong horizontal box comes on screen and the programme wont run the box says acces violation at adress 771b3fb8 in module winnet.dill.read of adress 31b01000,in side the programme box on screen it says remove traces internet explorer cashed index.dat.any ideas what this is,as it might as well be in russian to me.and can i stop it from doing it.thanks for your time.

I buy compatible ink for my epsom printer, am I harming the product or is it okay.

How much difference is there between epson and compatible ink.

Some people use epson ink for their photos, but would it not be cheaper to take them to a shop to be printed.

I checked a few splitter programs, quite cute really but the trial version only does "50%" and I am not sure of what. Or one splitter put in a watermark all over the movie. Or, worse of all, at one point the program took so much space that it used up all the memory (more than 20 Gb free at that time). I assume I get the memory back but wow.

The jpg was sent in the body of the email but all I can see is number, letters, punctuation etc. Is there a way of viewing this as a picture rather than as code?

The ram is ok, it's the correct type for my MB and they are fitted carefully. XP boots up fine, but I get all sorts of errors when running things, and sometimes it just reboots!

I have an ABIT AS8-V with 2x 512k 400hz DDR (pc3200) ram - errors when I added 2 more of the same type of ram.

I'm looking for a reconditioned pc for my mother-in-law for christmas. She has a good keyboard and monitor so just need the base unit. She wants to get on the internet for the first time and to do some basic word processing so she won't need anything too flashy but one with a good warranty would be ideal. If anyone out there knows of any good places to look let me know!

I have been offered an acer travelmate 2200 laptop for £200. Details include: internet ready, CD/DVD burner, 4 USB ports, wireless and bluetooth compatible, space for memory card, Fixit Utilities Professional 6, McAfee firewall, windows XP microsoft works, windows media player, webcam.
I will also get a Lexmark printer.
