I accidentally bought 256MB PC100 of server memory on ebay. I just wanted 256mb PC100 of regular memory. Will this work the same or is it completely different? I have no idea what server memory is.

If it is server memory that most likely means it is ECC. First of all your motherboard has to be able to support ECC, which a lot of them don't. Second you cannot mix it with non-ECC memory. I would really have to know what type of system you are using.

I don't think there is any difference, maybe the memory sat in a server before but PC100 is PC100. Should work.
