I'm looking for a reconditioned pc for my mother-in-law for christmas. She has a good keyboard and monitor so just need the base unit. She wants to get on the internet for the first time and to do some basic word processing so she won't need anything too flashy but one with a good warranty would be ideal. If anyone out there knows of any good places to look let me know!

Check out your local newspaper and look for comuter fairs. Most of them you can see what you buy working. Thats where I got my laptop.Just dont rush into buying one LOOK AROUND before you make a decision take a pen and pad along and write down about each one you like then sit down and compare them all.

Try and pick one up for free on Freecycle. You'll be amazed what people give away.
