there is server in my college. it is blocking all websites that are needed to me[includes where i download games,music,papers etc]. my is connected to it by lan for internet. so i am saking a program or anything that i can actually control that server remotely to unblock websites. also how do i control a pc in my network across lan by any means REMOTELY [not by going to that pc physically] so that i can shut it down[ in sense a program effective in breaking a firewall].

I've just had a website developed (in Linux). When I browse the site in Firefox it's ok, but when I browse using Internet Explorer 6.0, the title banner refreshes every time the cursor runs over it, which is very distracting. After I've spent a few minutes on the site, it settles down and stays fixed.

I downloaded Popular Screensavers and added my photos. At first everything was fine but then when ever i turned on my computer the wallpaper would only display for a couple of seconds and then there is either a blue screen or a red screen nothing else. I went back to the website and tried to reset the display setting and still nothing happens. Should I try something else or remove this feature? I also have screensavers for the same site and they display just fine according to the display settings I have set fot it. Is there something I need to do when my computer first boots up or what? Im not to computer savy so please make ur directions easy.Thanks everybody

My laptop takes a while to boot up completely and sometimes I can't be bothered to wait. Can I just hibernate it or should I shut it down everytime. Can hibernating it a lot cause any type of damage?
