when i start up computer i get warnings of a virus on computer asking me to buy there malware wipe,but when i scan files with mcafee security it says no virus found. cannot access yahoo home page via shortcut on desktop icon have to bring up favourites list and select from there. also theres a mini icon on bottom of screen keeps popping up asking me to click to access all virus healing programs-again asking me to pay for this service.wondering about re-booting whole computer and wether this will start the computer up from scratch with no annoying viruses. please help as this is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Contacted tech re dropped connections, seemingly on dial up and she walked me through this process. I also like my yahoo browser. At one time I networked and since ending ,I am having connection problems aplenty!

I have added a 6 port fibre card to a 4507 hot swap style. I cant power the switch -what a shock. And its not sending the new cards detail in the MIB but the existing ones are being sent. Any idea how I force ithe switch to re-evaluate the hardware and ammend the MIBs

a light flickers on my cpu when some process is going on or when some data is loading on my computer. the cursor shows the busy sign next to it. even when it shows the sign, i carry on giving too many commands. is it ok? they open but slowly. even at booting, i do not wait for things to fully load on desktop, i click right-away on mydouments or internet. is it ok to do this?

My web browser toolbar has changed to the crummie Yahoo! one and now my home page has altered itself automatically to Yahoo!
What I'd like to know is, what program do I remove i.e. I want Yahoo! Messenger and I want to access Answers but I don't want a Yahoo homepage or toolbar, and I'd like to be sure that I don't have other Yahoo things forced onto me.

I don't need the website to Microsoft but something more specific on how to remove this wizard. I know it has something to do with the registry so if anybody can give me a website staight to the fix that would be great. I print faxes everyday and I want to know a way to turn this off so I dont have to go through the five or six steps to get something printed because it is a waste of time and I print these about 20 times a day.

I got my i.p address by typing in ipconfig/all in the cmd prompt.
But when i typed it into the TCP/IP properties, i lost my internet connection.

I have to set it to find my i.p automatically to get connected, but i need a manual i.p for setting up a shared conection.

What am i doing wrong?
