My web browser toolbar has changed to the crummie Yahoo! one and now my home page has altered itself automatically to Yahoo!
What I'd like to know is, what program do I remove i.e. I want Yahoo! Messenger and I want to access Answers but I don't want a Yahoo homepage or toolbar, and I'd like to be sure that I don't have other Yahoo things forced onto me.

Goto your control panal. Click on Add/Remove Programs and delete anything that says YAHOO on it (i.e. YAHOO Toolbar, Yahoo Browser, etc.). It's what I did and it worked!

Good Luck!

To change you home page, in Internet explorer, click on Tools, then Internet options, then in the first box labeled homepage, enter the website address you would like to have automatically be there when you open IE, or click the home button.
To remove a toolbar, go to Start, settings, control panel, Add/remove programs, look for Yahoo Toolbar, and click on remove on the right side, this should uninstall it for you.
-PS an a novice user make sure to be careful installing free software that might put spyware or other annoying things on your computer..
Good luck !

Hey there... just go to the CONTROL PANEL and ADD/REMOVE programs and you can remove the Yahoo Toolbar there. Or you can rightclick the toolbar and take the check off beside Yahoo Toolbar. As for your homepage, open up Internet Options, then Tools and type in the home page you want and click 'apply'... good luck :-)

In internet explorer menu at the top of the screen click on "view" and then "toolbars" and remove the tick next to Yahoo - that will get rid of the tool bar.

Go to "Tools" at the top of the screen and select "internet options" - in there you can type in the web page you want to set as your home page.
