Sure, first of all, find out who their service provider is, then go to their website and there's always a link to send a txt. msg. to someone's cell from online!! Sometimes you may have to look deeper, as in with Cricket's service. They used to have a very visible link for sending text messages to someone's phone from your PC but they seem to have hidden it or at least made it more difficult to find at first.
