there is server in my college. it is blocking all websites that are needed to me[includes where i download games,music,papers etc]. my is connected to it by lan for internet. so i am saking a program or anything that i can actually control that server remotely to unblock websites. also how do i control a pc in my network across lan by any means REMOTELY [not by going to that pc physically] so that i can shut it down[ in sense a program effective in breaking a firewall].

You will not be too successful. The Network and System Admin's does not WANT you to access those sites nor take control of the servers for a reason. You are trying to hack your way through the firewall. They know all the IP tricks that hackers play. You may find your college career suspended should you try. Should you find a way, THEY CAN trace you.

Access the web sites off campus on your own time and money. Those resources are allocated for the purpose of academia, not for downloading the latest DOOM.

check the firewall settings on windows xp firewall and the settings in internet explorer

It is usually a site .
