I have been comparing manufacturers to find the best deal for my money but not really sure what the best deal is. Idealy want 19" widscreenTFT approx 512mb graphics card and either intel pentium D or amd athlon64x2 processor& a hard drive not more than 250gb.

When I get new e-mails it will say that the e-mail was sent 2 hours earlier then it really was. i.e. It's 9:51 but the e-mail i just got says it was sent at 7:51

I am basically computer illiterate and don't know the first thing about bits & bytes or Rom & Ram. (It's pitiful; I know.) Anyway, I heard about this thing called e-books, that I'm pretty interested in, but I don't know exactly how it works.

Obviously I know you read it online; I got that much. But I need to download this program (that they tell me is free) so that I can read them. The thing is, I'm so paranoid of viruses, and taking up too much space on my hard drive. I also don't understand the first thing about zip files and stuff, either, so where do the e-books go once you buy them? Like, where would I go each time I want to open it up and continue reading?

So basically, I guess I'm asking how EXACTLY do e-books work, is the program really free, and when I download it, do I run it or save it, and where do I save it to and how? Oh, I also heard the term PDF. What's that?

Sorry to be such a pest! I just want to make sure I understand it before I do it! Thanks!

I don't see where it costs if you build your own website. I see where they charge for a professional and I see the charge for web hosting and domain. It says to dowload the sitebuilder for free....so it appears to me that it is free. Am I not looking in the right place? Thanks!

The virus is keeping me from going online. When I try to log on to the internet it says it detects no phone line, which is not true, so I tried to do a system restore but the virus doesn't let me do that now also. I'm not sure what to do, do I to have to take it somewhere to get the virus out, or is there a way around this?

In Windows, it's really easy to close a window by mistake when you want to maximise it as these symbols are side by side. In comparion, the up and down/left and right arrow symbols on sliders should be side by side for convenience but are opposed. Is this just bad design or is there a purpose?

I was on my computer normally and then i had to go so i switched the computer off. When i came back my computer wouldn't boot up and the orange light only flickers on then off. plus if i pug it out n then i plug it in again the processor turns on with out me pressing the button but still doesn't boot up. my computer is only 2 years old O_O my mum sed its probally a virus but there is nothing on my computer tht could have caused it.sometimes i would turn the computer off by the plug if i wanted to turn it off quickly, like when im not meant to be on it xD now it wont turn on at all nothing is wrong with it visually that i can see, i dont have a reset button on my computer and it is a windows xp, e machines computer with a power button that lights up blue when its switching on, i dont know the rest of the specs. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the MSN messnger live ok! and i have just got this laptop! when i go on the computer and the on internet explorer in the 'Tools' tab at the top! there is something called windows messenger and that keeps signing me in! its sooo annoying! i also have tried going on remove programmes but its not even listed in there!
