There are alot of variables involved here. First, is your ISP's speed. Are you using dial up, DSL, or broadband? All of these have different speeds. Second, is the amount of information and design of the page itself. Pages that are purely text will load faster than ones that have several pictures or other types of graphics. Also, the amount of web surfing you do can add hostile programs so you should make sure you're running some kind of ad-ware detection and removal program. Ad-ware will slow down even the best browser. The last issue is your computer's processor and it's speed. Intel Celeron and Pentium processors are among the faster ones.

If the site u r visiting contains huge amount of flash work it has to download all the .swf files which takes time , if it have some online data that changes very rapidly and is scrolling it needs more number of server accesses,if there r huge numer for users accesing the same site there may me a colllision or there may be no threads in the pool etc
