It should be lightweight and easy to carry, but reasonably priced as well. I'll use it for assignments, research and keeping in touch with my family.

I have a header of a hotmail email, but do not know where to find the senders ip address. It is kind of like two emails, because the sender was answering my email when we were friends. This person became hostile and insulting in another chat after four years and I blocked him. I know he is in Greece, but he somehow has much information about me that I did not give him. I am trying to find info. about him, but I am sure he was not giving his real name, as I did not give him mine. He knows everything about me, even called my home number and I am in usa. I did not give him this info, but he said if one knows how to search they can find everything. I am not up todate on internet as I should be. I only saved the email from last month.

I know .NET is a web-based languange, but I'm not sure the details. Is it object oriented? Can it use SQL to access a database, or does it have its own functions for this?

My pc was slowing down, so I reformatted and reinstalled XP and the rest of my software. My problem is that I have two other hard drives, and now, although they are detected in the BIOS and show up in Device Manager, Windows XP cannot see them.
I'd like a solution that DOESN'T involve reformatting them, as they have loads of music and other data on them.

I have a wireless router with two desktops and one laptop on my network. For some reason, my third desktop won't connect. The wireless signal is good, and it sees my network. I've entered the correct password, I don't know what else to do (I'm not a computer wiz, but I did connect all the other computers successfully). This computer was connected at one time, but suddenly "lost" its internet connection--I wonder if it really is connected, but maybe the Internet Explorer is bad..but how would I find out, or fix it?

Ok, I'm joking about the title, but I'm thinking that "anti-virus" programs should be called "anti-bacterial" programs because real viruses can't be "killed", but the "viruses" on our computers can be removed (thus "killed").

I vote to call anti-virus programs ANTI-BACTERIAL programs from now on! Plus I think malicious hackers would be insulted at having their programs called bacteria instead of virus. Kind of takes the "hardcore" sounding name of "virus", and replaces it with something more associated with "pus"!

WHO'S WITH ME?

BTW, yes I know I'm a dork......

As you know that ajax is asynchronous (happening at different times), that means say if i have two functions called in a sequence, one is for the ajax - goes to the server and fetches the data, and second one is to refresh the targetDiv to display the result, but the problem is that, if the internet is slow, the first one waits for the reponse from the server while the otherone refreshes the page even though the response is not received. and when the response is received, the targetDiv is not refreshed.

How can i call functions in sequence, say call a function or functions after the response is received.
