no there isn't version difference on zones.
There are only two version of XP: Home and Pro

Also, there are some special edition, which is only sold on several countries:
- XP N - The special Uni European version of XP which is only sold in EU.
- XP Starter Edition, which is simply a cheaper, localized (translated) and (very) reduced version of XP for begginers (or more correctly, to prevent Linux from being adopted in a developing countries, where the full expensive suite of XP is not in the likening of most people). It is available in: Thailand, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia, India, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Ecuador, Uruguay and Venezuela (http://www.wikipedia.com/Windows_XP )

and special versions for
- XP Legacy, for low end computers
- XP Media Center which is available for Media Centers
- XP 64-bit, for 64-bit computers.
- XP Tablet - for tablet PCs.
- XP Embedded - for non computer electronics.

After you install the XP, if you don't get the option to set the correct time and zone during installation, you can right click on the clock (lower right corner of task bar) and make your adjustments there.
