I am thinking of buying a new computor , my one I have now is real old , and I'm considering a laptop. How do I go about transferring all my files / info/ favourites etc from my old computor to my new one ? I have no clue about computors much, would this be a hard process to do myself ?

I have a laptop that will not connect to the hotel's internet that I am staying in. A note from the hotel says that after I connect the ethernet cable into the laptop (its in the right slot) and press on the internet explorer window an agreement page should come up from the hotel to agree terms and conditions of using the internet via the hotel, but I still get the usual 404 error. A note in the room says my laptop should have a network card which it does and a TCP/IP ???? I have no idea where to go from here. This is a brand new 3 week old HP laptop with XP Pro with SP2 on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Incidentally when Im in the office it connects to the internet via a wireless router, and this works fine.

my moms computer will not work right and i think she needs a new harddrive. i have deleted everything off and did a systems restore and now all we can get is very few basic features and the pics are very low how can i fix this i have tried system restore along with a back up disk and neither one will work do you think that it should be time for a new computer? and if so what would be the best computer to get for scrapbookind and picture storage that is still a reasonable price
