I saved my pictures to CD and DVD disc and quick erased them using Sonic DigitalMedia Plus v7. I apparently forgot to transfer some of the pics once I reformatted by hard drive

Download an undelete program like this one http://officerecovery.com/freeundelete/ and see if the files can be recovered.

If you want to spend $$$$$$$$$$$$$ a place like ontrack data can retrive almost anything. My friend had a virus wipe his all out. He needed those pictures; it cost him $600.

Once you delete the contents of a disc, you cannot retrieve them.
