to my knowledge the general sql language for a select statement is "SELECT A,B,C FROM TABLE". but i came across a select statement in which they have used the character "|" instead of comma(,).i.e., select a"|"b"|"c"|" from table. what kind of language is this? is it correct? please explain me in detail

I have an old, bulky computer monitor at home and I want to get rid of that. I am tempted of just leaving it in the curb, like most people do. But I heard that old monitors contain lead that could leak into the ground or air and cause environment havoc. So help me out here please.

Tutorials are all over the Web, but I find it hard to create my own art work. Going through each tutorial and memorizing the techniques are way too overwhelming. I don't want to spend time to take classes and I read very slow. So please advise if you have an easy way out.

I have just spent ten days trying to get BT to connect the internet to my new address. Today, they have just informed me that they cannot find a bt line for this address and it will cost me £128 to install it. The thing is, I have a phone and when I plug it in, it gives out a dialling tone, but you cannot dial out so the tennant before me may have had just incoming calls. Now, this shouldn't affect the internet connection because I only had incoming calls on my previous phone. What's going on? Anyone advise?
