Alt-Printscreen will capture the application that has focus and cntrl-printscreen will capture your entire desktop.
After you do that, open Word or Paint and paste the resulting capture. You can then save it in whatever format you want.

In general, hit the Print Screen button. on a normal keyboard, it'll be above the insert key and be likely labeled "Prt Scr" (and maybe "Sys Rq" as well) ...it will always be to the right of the F keys (F1, F2 ....F12)

To take a screencap of just the current window, hold Alt then hit Print Screen.

After hitting print screen, the image is in your clipboard. You can open Microsoft Paint or something similar and paste the image in. Save the file in bmp form to retain quality.

Hit the button on your keyboard that says Print Screen sysRq. That copies whatever is on your screen. Then paste it (Ctrl-V)into another progam(ms paint,ms word.......) and you have a screenshot of your screen. If there are two/three windows on your screen then if you want any particular one only then maximise your windows of your choise and then do the same procedure.

Go to your desktop.

Press PrintScreen.

If it doesn't automatically print, go to word and Ctrl-V (Paste). Your screenshot of your desktop will be input into the document.

least complicated way is to apply the replica/paste applications for the show on your keyboard. You carry down the function key(Fn) and hit the prt sc button in the better top component of the keyboard. discover the Paint software and run it. whilst it comes up pull down on Edit/paste. you may now save the image any any format you like from Paint.
