I'm moving tomorrow and want to know how to prepare my computer. Do I just unplug everything or is there some special way to go about this?

Today you just have to disconnect and unplug, plug back and connect. Far away is the time when you had to give a park instruction to the hard drives. Mouse and keyboard have a color code or a usb connection.

Once you turn it off. There is nothing special, just unplug everything. Just make sure you know where everything goes to hook it back up.

The answerers before me covered almos everytihng; one more thing: if you have equipments with large moving parts (ex. printer, scanner) make sure that the mobile parts won't be damaged while transporting. This can be done by putting the original locking pieces the equipments came with, back in their place or by locking the moving parts if they're not accessible from the outside (there should be a button allowing you to do that.
