I have several games for my PS1 and was just curious if they could be downloaded from their original disk into my computer and then played on my computer. Also if they can I would like to reburn them back onto blank CD's if possible.

Any words of wisdom on this?

I want to connect my computer to my TV so I can watch all of my stored media on my TV. Am I correct in saying that I will need to buy a DVI to HDMI conversion cable to connect them? What would I then use to connect the audio, 2 male composite cables from the back of my sound card to my reciever? My video card (ATI X850 Pro) has a DVI connection.

Do you know if/how much quality is lost? Or will it stay digital?

My TV, a 50" Grand WEGA™ SXRD™ Rear Projection HDTV
KDS-R50XBR1, does have a "PC input" mode.

I also remember when a friend connected his computer to his older HDTV TV to play Counterstrike, he had to play in a pretty low resolution. Since my TV's resolution is 1920x1080, does that mean I'll get that back from the PC?

this stupid ad pops up 30 time a day and tries to install. there i am on the internet and BANG! i have lost my page because it has gone to this advert and i can't press the back button and i have to tell it not to install 3 times every time i do it brings up a new page and i have norton so there is NO way im am every going to get this. norton discovers it as WINfixer but it can't get rid of it i have paniware popup blocker but that does not stop it? can someone find me a simple spyware software or anything i also have AVG as a back up

All of a sudden my computer isn't showing my F-Drive so now several of my programs wont work. I thought it was a mistake so I opened up the MY COMPUTER ICON and sure enough, the F-Drive is missing. Hi,
I am due to enter negotiations regarding my salary.

I have around 8 years experience in IT from a career point of view, and have trained towards an MCSA (waiting for exams).

I am looking after 14 servers in 3 locations. We are opening another office down south which I will be expected to support

The servers include 4 DC'c, 2 Exchange servers, 1 SQL Server, File Servers, FTP Servers; as well as the company phone system, copiers, software licencing and 3 netscreens and 1 WiFi bridge and to support approx 45 staff

I am also expected to source new technology like media players, etc for the work the company actually does.

We are increasing the servers to around 20 in the next fews months as well implementing company wide VoIP technology and better WAN comms.

What I need to know is should I be asking for more than the £25,000 plus car I am currently on?

My TItle is IT Manager and I am in the East Midlands area

On Thursday I bought myself a desktop PC from the PC World website. When I bought it, I was quickly told that my order was in processing, and I would get an email confirming that it's been sent.

It's now Monday, and i still haven't recieved any confirmation that my PC has been dispatched, or any updates on my order for that matter. Is this just their normal process, and should I expect an update in the next few days.

And how will it be before they dispatch my order?

My computer sees the empty hard drive case itself and has assigned it a drive letter. However it does not see any of the drives that I install. It just keeps asking me to put in a disk. I have tried installing several old hard drives from some of my old computers and it cannot see any of them. I have tried everything I can think of to no aval.
