Have you noticed how the Internet already changed the way we think, after only being around in a more open basis for only 20 years? It did not change only what we believe is possible, on communication. It's starting to allow people to get in contact with places, cultures and beliefs that they wouldn't be normally allowed to. It's like the awakening of a new humanity.
I think that, if well used, the Internet will end up removing all the world boundaries, even the physical ones. If people don't believe barriers should exist, why should they exist? I think that thought some local costumes will be kept, due to the geographic differences, countries will be just like today's cities. It will also destroy all the few dictatorships that still exist, allowing people to see beyound. If not well used, the Internet also has the power to ruin many good things we have.
And you? What do you think that will be the result of the world's continuous exposure to the Internet within the next 200 years?
