Can you tell I don't know all that much about computers....but I have a COmpaq Presario and Windows ME and I wanted to make some CD's for friends. Don't I ned to go buy one of thse burners? Or can I download something?

My brother in law said it's my sound drivers. But, I can listen to other players. If it were the sound drivers, wouldn't that be impossible? I also can't listen to my Creative ZenMicro (mp3) player on the computer. Can someone tell me what I can do? I already tried unistalling and re-installing WMP. Also, when I try to play Sims 2 I can't hear the background sounds. HELP! Please!

I have Cable Internet but whenever I try do Windows Update it says (can not find an internet connection.) I think it is trying to find a present Dial-up connection. How do I make it so that it detects my broadband connection?

Msn messenger wont let me sign in, this is what it says when i try everytime:

Signing in to Msn Messenger failed because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. 81000314

It's been saying this for a few hours now, i was just wondering if there was something wrong with my pc and if the numbers at the end were an error code or something. If so what is wrong? Should i delete it and re-install?

I have tried since 4 am and it is now 12 hours later and I can not get yahoo email and messenger to work - everything else is fine. I am updated to all the newest versions and have run every anti spam and virus protection programs with nothing showing up. It acts like it wants to start and just hangs there. whoever gives me a fix well the 10 points is all yours. thanks
