Earlier today, I tired to do this, but the results were . . . well, bad. I'm semi-technical, so I'd really appreciate it if someone could give me instructionson how to do this. Also, I plan on using, Kumbunu as my Linux distro. Is this a good choice>

I have a cable modem. I generally leave my computer on but it goes into sleep mode. So, I guess I need to know if hers would work (have internet access)
1) with my computer off, but connected to the cable modem and 2) if her computer could access the internet when my computer is in sleep mode?

I'm on a Thinkpad T40 which I know should have USB2.0, yet any time I try to use my Flash Drive it says, "This device could perform faster... if you connected to a USB 2.0 port" which it should already be in.

I haven't gotten any hardware updates. I am running Windows XP pro.. The window shows the network there in the list, but when I push "Connect", it exits out of the wireless connection screen. It doens't connect. The radio is on.
I have an Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3A mini PCI Adapter.
Also, how do I know if my laptop uses a wirelss b radio, g, or a?
I also have a linksys wireless-G broadbad router.

I've heard people say there are three things: "cheap, fast, good" and you can only have 2 out of the three. I'm willing to put in time learning and building my own site, but I don't have any knowledge of the technology so I don't know where to start. I've heard peple recommend programs like FLASH for building a website. But, I don't know where/with whom I should register a domain name, and then where to go from there. Which comes first-- domain name, hosting, building? I don't understand the connection between all of these things, hence, my stagnating confusion.
Please Help!

I just bought a PCI video card of Trident. After I install it in my pc (window xp), it works fine; but after 5 mins, everything stops and the screen turns into blue and a long message comes out. I remember it shows "the file sgiul50 error"; "drive got stuck in an infinite loop. Problem with the device itself or with the device drive programming the hardware incorrectly. Check hardware device vendor for any driver updates. Beginning dump of physical memory. Physical memory dump complete."
When I restart the computer, the monitor shows nothing until I pull out the video card and plug the monitor back to the monitor board. What does the message mean? How can solve the problem??

i have a hp comp i had a audigy sound card in that i removed to install in my new comp and i get an error message saying that cant find audio drivers could any one help me in my conquest of finding the right audio drivers ? this error message comes up when playing games and what not . i thought this might happen is this realated to realtek audio ? on board audio ? thanks folks :) i think the comp model is 225n hp pavilion .

I have a few comps,the computer that Im using to download this file/prgram (whatever) is a 2001 compaq presario.Im not sure if it could be becouse the computer is still in the process of downloading but its been going really slow ever since I started the download.the download is almost finished,so after the torrent program closes will my computer still be lagging?or maybe its the fact that the file is so big,or a mixture of a fact that the files so big and its not finished downloading yet?
