Go to e-bay and look for similar items. See what they sold for and are selling for. If there's nothing like it on e-bay (don't forget to search past sales), search the net for one for sale anywhere.

Don't trust local antique dealers. They want to buy it from you cheap and sell it at a large profit. I'm sure some or maybe most are honest, but their business is to give you less than they can sell it for.

at the same time as i elect to public sale some thing on ebay, I search for for the precise merchandise or a similiar one on ebay to work out what the going fee is for the article. frequently an merchandise will say "purchase it Now" next to it. that ought to help make sure what your merchandise is really worth. I also watch the products in question that are being auctioned and wait until eventually the accepted public sale is over to work out what the article went for. i'm hoping this helps!

It's best to know the brand name. If you do, search ebay to see what they're going for or search google for that brand. Also you could search google images and see if there's any just like yours and maybe find more info about them.
