i have a hp comp i had a audigy sound card in that i removed to install in my new comp and i get an error message saying that cant find audio drivers could any one help me in my conquest of finding the right audio drivers ? this error message comes up when playing games and what not . i thought this might happen is this realated to realtek audio ? on board audio ? thanks folks :) i think the comp model is 225n hp pavilion .

i forgot to add that the it wasnt the card i needs drivers for it was the hp computer the card is in the new cpu and works great
the os is windows 2000 pro

normally they would come pre-installed on the actual card. but windows (if this is what you use) does have a vast driver package already bundled. right click on my computer and select hardware tab you should find what you need to get you started.. :)

Apparently Audigy was bought by Creative (you are redirected there when going to www.audigy.com). So try to find the drivers for your card/operating system there:

http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/

If you don't know your card's model number, you may have to remove it from your computer and look for the model number physically written somewhere on the card.

see u will have to find out the exact model number for ur audigy sound card, which u can get from the user manual of ur hp pavilion pc then search on web for proper divers for ur sound card , if u still hav ne prob then u can contact me on messenger im online as prashant_sheoran for next one hour

Why use onboard? The PCI Audigy2 will take pressure off the cpu and usually sound better than onboard. I have onboard Nvidia Soundstorm but the Audigy2, to me, is the better choice. Maybe not by much though.

find manufacter website for the product check for tpe model product and the sound card and then download driver for model or use installation cd that came with product

Do search for website of board maker. Should have downloadable drivers on the website.
