Why would someone want to make a virus?

In the past it was mostly for bragging rights (look what I can do!), but now they are transforming into more of a way to make $$. They can steal personal information that can be sold to other people or used themselves.

because some people are just jerks and like to hack into other ppls stuff and cause all kinds of problems for them, and they also do it hoping to take over thier computer , the more damage they can cause the better

Spyware exists so people can steal your identity. Viruses exists just to piss people off.

1-Because some "little boys" never grow up and they just like to wreck things, because it makes them feel all-powerful.
2-Commercial reasons: They want to be able to exploit, sell to, cheat, and/or steal from people through their computers.

because they want to crash or at least damage your system so the companies can make money out of fixing the viruses
then they get their share of the profit

People just want to have "fun".
Plus it is a way to still identity for their profit.
Typical thieves except their nerds. And I want to hurt them all.
