www.livejournal.com -- best all-around blogging site
www.amazon.com -- my favorite "retail" store for just about anything
www.craigslist.org -- like an eclectic "bulletin board" where you can find just about anything, from jobs to dates to garage sales to pet-sitters
www.google.com -- fave search engine, best results
www.flickr.com -- fave photo sharing site (you can also order prints, order photo stamps, creatie albums and other good stuff)
I could go on and on, but I won't. :) These are just the first few that came to mind.
