Msn messenger wont let me sign in, this is what it says when i try everytime:

Signing in to Msn Messenger failed because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. 81000314

It's been saying this for a few hours now, i was just wondering if there was something wrong with my pc and if the numbers at the end were an error code or something. If so what is wrong? Should i delete it and re-install?

I get it all the time - it's when the server is too busy. Just persist - it'll sign in eventually.

It can also be that you're not connected to the Internet, but evidently that is not currently the case being that you've managed to write this question!

I dout if there is anything wrong with you pc - I was on the college network which is connect to the Internet and Msn for the whole of the UK went down. I should think it was msn server crashed

I had that. It is usually a transient message. I signed in a few minutes ago. It should work now...

It seems like a problem with your internet connection. Make sure your internet is properly connected.

your using an old version www.msn.messenger.com update and it will work
