I know how to turn it off for each individual mail folder, but every time I create a new folder, it defaults to "show in groups". How do I stop that?

I have Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 on my laptop.
I have a rather strange problem recently. The widows I open, no matter what (My Computer, IE, or any application window), do not show up on my taskbar and I have to use Alt+Tab to switch between windows, which is very irritating. I have tried to solve this but without success. Anybody knows why?

I'm an advanced user of computers and problem-solved in companies for years, so do not dummy-questions answer me.

for anyone who has/had a dial-up internet connection, is there any tips or programs or something that will make it more tolerable? I've tried almost every dial-up service around, and none of them have worked very well...I know dial-up can only get to 56K, but i'm never getting over 30K...anything that can help?

I have cleared out the cache, browsing history, cookies and everything else, but it's still slower than freaking Christmas, and sometimes it pops up with a message saying the connection was reset. What's going on? I hate IE, so I refuse to go back to using it, but I am forced to right now, and even it's screwed up.

my pc has slowed down over the last few months,i have done the usual anti-virus scan and have used spy-bot,lavasoft ad-aware,steganos anti-spy,with everything coming back clear
ive done disc clean-up and deleted temp internet files and cookies aswell
i have got a program called ashampoo winoptimizer,will that clean up all the mess on my pc or is there a better one
