at bottom left it says done but page is blank, anything after that is a quick flash, like its not connected ????

My C drive is 90% full. My D drive has rarely been used. My computer is very slow these days. Would it help my computer to transfer some files from the C drive into the D drive? Does it matter what files are in which drive?
