"Object oriented" is a type of programing which "objects" (such as a table in a database, or a form to display information) is created and given a name. That name is then used to manipulate the object rather than having to recreate the object each time it is used. Only some programming languages allow this. So object oriented multimedia would be programming that allows the creation and use of objects to do multimedia (video, pictures and sound) functions.
