im drawing a floorplan using feet as primary units in autocad LT 2004...but when i try to dimension the lines the dimensions are in inches...how can i change that to feet???

You are describing 2 different things.

Your units command control the units. Try setting the units to "architectural" with a precision of 0'-0". Or, if it doesn't matter at all to track inches, just set units to decimal with a precision of 0. Only you need to know what unit of measure you are using.

When dimensioning, you will have to use the "ddim" command to customize your dimension. Under modifications you will find a primary units tab that should get the control you are looking for.
