What are you thoughts on speed cameras.

Do you think they are a method of government funding or a good way of improving road safety.

Do you know of any examples to back upi your theory.

Do you know of any good websites that can answer my question???

Your help is most appreciated.

Shot accross a 4 lane road in front of a semi. Hit a patch of Black Ice, down-shifted too late and lost control. Wasn't going over 30 mph . Terrifies now to drive. Got kids and MUST!!

I was in the space to the right of the other driver. We were both facing out, having backed into the stalls. We both started to roll, I saw him and stopped. He didn't see me and caught my front end in his door when he turned. He says I was moving and ran into him. I never left the actual parking spot and was stopped when he struck my vehicle. Who is really at fault? PS. This is in Washington State.

While talking on their cell phones? You may think you can drive and talk on the cell phone but you cannot you are the cause of very serious accidents.Your attention is only on that conversation that your having/pull off the road and talk aholes! That call is not that important unless its to 911. Just venting because a man pulled out in front of me today he was on his cell phone and when he he relized he was in the middle of a 45speed limit road with nowhere to go but to cut in front of me or get hit by on coming traffic. Please hang up those darn phones.

Why do mor-ns linger in the middle of the road, then swing their right turn from there? Why not move OVER to the right so as NOT to hold up everyone behind you?

Having recently been doing a lot of driving on motorways I have got more and more annoyed with these people that sit in the middle lane (normally at 55mph) when the inside lane is completely empty. This is even worse on the 4 lane sections of the M25. How annoying???

I feel so out of control at the wheel. I have horrible anxiety about driving but it's something I have to get over a.s.a.p! I feel like no one understands the fear I have, like they think I'm an idiot for not being able to drive...I'm fine driving around in my neighborhood with no traffic, but when other cars come around I freak out!
Am I the only one with a driving phobia?
How can I get over it already!

What is the law concerning after-market auxiliary lighting systems on vehicles in the UK? Having been told that my motorcycle appeared almost invisible from the rear when driving in fog and moderate spray, I have bought a pair of red LED ultrabright strobe strips (4.5 x 1 cm each). They flash in a similar way to the rear spray lights on F1 cars. I want to fit these either side of the rear light housing with an activation switch on the bars for driving in very poor visibility. Is this legal? Is it possible that I will get a fine for displaying such strobing lights? Thanks

My Britax Companion's base is too long for my Honda Element's seat. I do plan on getting it inspected by a certified seat installer very soon but wanted to see what you guys thought.

I'm trying to train myself to look at the speedometer more. On the other hand, in a 25 mph zone I prefer to be watching out for children in the road. My cruise control can't be set lower than 34 mph and is inconvenient to use on local roads.

Well what happened was I was driving around all the pubs in town and slowing down outside them as you do and then suddenly taking off at high speed whilst pressing my turbo boost button when all of a sudden it made a sound like blow-off and my car suddenly went into reverse and everyone was laughing at me! I cant live without my turbo boost button, it attracts all the chavs, what can i do? As a temporary measure do you think it would be ok to make a pssssssssssssstttttt noise out the window? sent

I NEVER see anyone doing that any more...It's safer, but if you don't watch it & you're hanging back, someone will jump right in front of you.

When it's raining on my car's windshield I can see reasonably well through the drops. If I turn on the windshield wipers though, it just smears the water around and makes it harder to see. So I usually drive in the rain without turning on my windshield wipers. Am I breaking the law?
