Why do mor-ns linger in the middle of the road, then swing their right turn from there? Why not move OVER to the right so as NOT to hold up everyone behind you?

NOTE: I am NOT a tailgater -- I HATE tailgaters. I am a courteous driver --- I just don't understand why, if you're making a right turn and there is enough room, why don't you move over to the right instead of holding up everyone behind you?

When you see someone using their blinkers to make a right that is in front of you, you should slow down and stop tailgating people. You sound like a tailgater, who thinks people don't have the right to do anything but drive straight, everyone is not go to the same place you are.Get some patience and road courtesty.

Because the turn is made from (and within) the travelled lane.

It's idiots who try to change the "rules" wihout changing the laws that cause all the confusion. Which results in accidents. Why don't you people learn to do it the way it's done (by the laws). Then if you don't like it, change it legally.

When you call me an A--hole, remember to use a capital.

I see more and more people turning this way. In fact, some of them even swing wide before they turn, as if they were driving a semi truck...lol. There is absolutely no need for that. You are not driving a semi truck, and rack and pinion steering has been around for over 80 years...lol. I blame it on lousy driver ed, because it is mostly younger drivers who I see doing this. Back when driver ed was taught in high school, we were always taught to move to right as far as possible before making a right turn. This is the courteous thing to do, and it also shows drivers behind that you are going to turn (along with your turn signal, which is another lost courtesy).
