Despite me filling out the change of address on the counterpart after I passed my test, and handing it to the examiner when he took my provisional license,

The DVLA sent it to my old address,
I'm well cheesed off,
Aparently they are investigating,
Has this happened to you,
Do they expect me to pay for it,
What happens ???

We recently bought a new car seat and fitted it as instructed but we were slightly concerned by how far it shifts from left to right. His first size seat seemed a lot more secure and ridgid. Or are they maybe designed like this so they would move along with a side impact? Cheers

Hi,
Owing to the snow in the Seattle area, I was forced to park my car on the Bellevue-Redmond road. A bunch of other cars were also parked over there. Is it alright to keep the car parked over there and pick it up tomorrow or whenever the snow clears up? Or, do I need to pick it up as early as possible? Is there any fall-out of letting the car be there since the snow is pretty heavy and it is close to impossible to venture outside.

I am a woman , I've been driving Big Rigs solo for 14 years Coast to Coast . My truck and Trailer at a empty weight is 33,500 lbs . When I have a load on I average 63,000 to a gross weight of 80,000 lbs . Yes when I pull hills I slow down its like when you eat alot do you run up the stairs with a full belly ? I admire the state of Michigan they advertise on their bill boards the safety around 18 wheelers and our blind spots . Michigan also holds seminars where people can sit in the Big Rigs and see how many cars that are lined up next to them through the mirrors. Please everyone give us Big Rigs room out there , we have families too .

Does it not bug the hell out of you when completely able bodied (just lazy idle) people park in gridded areas right by school gates?
There is one at my kids school and she thinks its her god given right to park there in her big gas guzzling 4x4. People cant see round to cross the road and god help you if you have a buggy or worse a double to push as she's usually half on and half off the pavement.
Can anything be done besides reporting her to the school (who have done nothing)?

I was learning to drive and had got to a pretty good standard, just needed to master manouvers, bay parking etc. Then one of my family was killed in a car accident in september so i lost all my confidence and havent driven since then. I now need to start learning again as i need to have passed my test by this september. Do I just pay for an intensive course and get on with it or should I stay with my original instructor who can only manage about 2 lessons a week?

I was accused with careless driving and was charged for this offence,,,but the funny part is ...the police got the information by someone reporting me..which was a surprise to me..there was no damage ( a question I asked the police...he said no) I asked if anyone got hurt..he said no ..but apparently I tried to run him off the road.( it was a motorcycle) now I have to go to court...pay a fine ...lose points...increase in Insurance...has anyone had a simular experience?

Two men have just been admitted to our local hospital one with serious leg injuries after they jumped from their truck after the brakes failed. One of the guys unluckily rolled under the moving truck.

I noticed this when I went to lunch earlier. No one ever uses their blinker! The few people who do use that little stick to the left of the steering wheel only cut it on WHILE they are turning. I have really bad road rage so at night, if the person in front of me doesn't use a blinker, I flash my lights as a reminder. During the day I roll down my window and yell at the other person.

I'm thinking about renting a car for the snowboarding trip. From what I have researched so far, Dodge Caliber seem like the best opition, value wise and safety wise to rent for the snowboarding trip since it's AWD and has some good quality of an SUV. Does it have snow tire capability? Since it's my first trip, I want to be safe as possible. If it isn't, can someone suggest another good car? Thanks!
