I don't live in OH but I have had several tickets in several states. The main advice I would have is plead not guilty! Unless you live a million miles away from the state. You will almost always get the ticket reduced and in most states if the cop doesn't show it will be thrown out. It is worth your time to go to the hearing. Most judges will give you a break just on the fact that you showed up. It shows that you care about your record. Dress up nice and be very polite. If you see the cop there ask if he would consider marking it down before the trial begins. If you weren't an A hole to him he probably will help you out.
If you have the money and are really worried about it hire an attorney from the area who deals with tickets regularly.
good luck. remember your insurance will almost always go up so anything you can do to reduce the ticket will save you money in the long run.

fine will be around 200 bucks,, but wait until your insurance goes up. it will at least go up 3-4 times as much
