I was involved this morning in an accident with a trailer truck. Eventhough, it was a minor accident, and the only thing that broke from my car was the back cover of my left light. the lights still work, but there is nothing to cover it, like the glass it has to protect it. Can I still drive? Explain. Help??????????

In view that you are not suppossed to smack your children some idiot the other day said that putting your child in a pram or car seat with restraints(belts) could be called child abuse if not done for safety reasons.
I know one mum that put her toddler in the car for ten mins as a punishment for being naughty and also a paramedic was carpeted after a parent complained when he cuddled her child after an accident,Has common sense flown out the window.

Tires come in all sorts of speed ratings, Q,S, T, H, V, W, and Z. Why is it so important to be sure you replace the tire with the same speed rating? Most people dont even know that there is a difference.

I got stopped for speeding on the M6toll road. Ok, I was going quickly 114Mph. However, as the police man told me, my driving was good, the conditions were good and the car I was in was good. Speed limits have been 70mph for years.... however, cars have been improved since the speed limit was introduced. They are much safer, they handle better and have more safety features than the older car. I normally drive at 70 if its possible on motorways (depending on traffic) , but the M6toll I pay to go on so that I can get to London quicker from Manchester. If I lose my license, I lose my job. To use public transport to get to work would be a 3hour journey on 2 buses and a tram. Thats 6hours travel a day. (By the way, watch out for a dark blue Volvo S70 on the toll road, they are there cos its easy pickings... They cant catch you on any other motorway as there is too much traffic, you can hardly get over 65!)

Speed humps are such a low-brow attempt at traffic calming. They distract ones attention away from the wider field of view, where pedestrians could be lurking, by forcing one to focas on the physical road condition. They cause medical issues, especially for people with a predisposition for back and neck ailments. Also they increase the response times of the emergency services, and are the main reason why I don't use the buses. We have the technology to electronically limit the speed of vehicles in residential areas with a radio device. This device could be fitted to existing lamposts and work with a simple device connected to the vehicles engine management system.

In the hot and humid Chennai, do we really need this rule, the rule makers do not travel in two wheelers and they ride comfartably in an air con car, I feel this is a stupid rules framed by some people sorely to satisfy their ego. Your comments.

I'm going to be moving to a not-so-nice part of town, and I won't have a place to park my car. Right now the car has two main security features: a lock on the driver's door, and a lock on the passenger's door.

I don't really want an alarm, so what else can I get?

I drive a class 1 truck daily in Calgary. The maintenance program at the company is lacklustre at best. Weekly I report problems: e.g. no turning signal, brake lights out, brakes weak, balding tyres etc...

If I was to have an accident because of the negligence on the part of my employers what is my liability? Will their insurance cover the accident? god forbid someone was to be killed, who would be liable? How much are settlements in this circumstance?

Can I sue my employer for dangerous working environment under Canadian Law?

Thanks!!!

A big rock hit my car windshield about couple months ago while I was driving on the highway. I did not notice a fracture crack about 1 inch until three days ago. During the time I noticed the crack on my window until I got home (approximately 1/2 hour), the crack lengthened to about 1 foot. I also wondering what other options I have besides replacing my windshield.
