Just wondering, but im 16 and have a mustang. How well do they hold up in crashes.. front, side, rear, anywhere.

This has a 5 star rating on recent models. (which is great) Check www.safercar.gov for your year.

However, please drive safely so you don't have to check it out.

At 16, you shouldn't be worried about your car surviving a wreck. You should be more concerned with avoiding them altogether.

Most Mustangs, due to their Fox body design fair pretty well in accidents. But do youself a favor and never find out through personal experience.

Drive your car like you'll kill somebody (like your mom) if you aren't careful, and you should be able to enjoy the vehicle well into your 20's...accident free.

Safety wise in a head-on collision .... pretty damn good. The front ends are rock solid, at least in the '93's they are. Albeit mine was declared totalled. Suffered a broken wrist only because I locked my arm on the steering wheel trying to brace myself for the impact.

The front ends are big, long and strong for a reason ......
