I drive a 30 tonne LGV, two weeks ago a BMW pulled out of a junction turning right without stopping, he did this when i was less than 50 feet from the junction and in very wet conditions, although my truck has ABS the back wheels locked and slid the back end into on coming traffic,i hit the Bmw and took out three other cars, it put four people in hospital two with serious head and neck injuries. Luckily several witnesses came forward in my defence, the Bmw driver First said he didn't see me and then accused me of driving too fast, what he failed too realise is that my Tachograph would prove that i wasn't, it seems that people are far to impatient and have no respect for Large vehicles anymore!

and how bad they are, straight after their tests.
One of them was driving a huge BMW doing wheel spins etc, another didnt know how to do dip and full beam!
Ref insurance.. why dont we restrict the insurance levels available to these new drivers?
Like let them have to a group 5 or something, just to get them used to the road?
It may help them learn a few things? and then go to a bigger fatser car??

Many years ago, all guard rails had flat blunt ends and when a car ran off the road and struck them, they sometimes pierced the car like a lance. To remedy that, engineers redesigned the guard rail and we started seeing guard rails that smoothly disappeared into the dirt at the ends, eliminating the killer blunt ends. Now I'm seeing blunt ends again, this time with some sort of spring energy-dissipator and yellow striped refelective surfaces. But that spring isn't going to help much when a car is going 60 miles an hour (or 80). Why did the smooth "disappear into the ground" type of guardrail get replaced? Aren't we going back in time here, with an increase in danger to the driving public?

As a truckdriver, I see so many objects and circumstances...a mattress, fridge, chair...but last Friday night I actually saw a naked man laying in the center lane of the freeway, just north of Phoenix. What is the weirdest thing you ever saw, driver?

I was in the left turn lane and I pulled out into the intersection about to turn. The traffic light was yellow. I initiated my left turn when the light was just about to change to red. A car in the opposing traffic hit me. If I am in the middle of the intersection, I have no choice but to turn if the light is red. When I was looking at the opposing traffic, it seemed that traffic was slowing down. but the next thing u kno, i was hit by another car. Who is at fault?

Do you have to signal while you reverse parking? I mean turn on signal Lights.
I mean REVERSE parking into a space!

Person A stops at a Stop sign and wants to take a left turn from to get on a two-lane road. The right lane is stuck and one driver on the right lane asks the person A to take the left turn. Person A starts slowly taking the left turn when Person B driving in the same direction in which Person A is taking a left comes from behind and hits the passenger side of the car of Person A while he is taking the left turn. Who is at fault ?

We have recently had our first new addition to the family and we were wondering how you turn the airbag off on the passenger side when we put in the baby seat? Our baby seat faces towards the seat so not ideal to put in the back when one is driving..

Is it dangerous to drive with the gas cap off, that is, the gas pipe is exposed?

I've called state police in the past when I saw someone on the highway with their cap off. Am I overreacting or not? I would think that, for example, someone flicking a cigarette out their window could send an ember into the pipe, etc.

Unfortunately there is no international gesture for "hey, your gas cap is off", as there is for, say, "hey, you're an a**hole for cutting me off."
