I doubt that the inspector will permit you to skip any part of the test. If it's worrying you, I'd suggest practicing some more until you get proficient at parallel parking. Trey setting up a couple of cones, or trash cans and park in front of your own house, or somewhere where you can practice without hitting anyone else's car or disrupting traffic. It's not hard...

Before I got my license, I practiced parallel parking almost every day for a week. I finally got it down and when I went to take the test, I didn't even have to do it. If I were you, I wouldn't even worry about parallel parking. It depends on your state, but chances are, you won't have to do it.

I don't think they give the option of skipping any part of the exam. I had to do parallel parking for my test too...much easier than backing in type parking in my opinion.

It depends on where you live, your local DMV should be able to give you that information. Try asking someone who passed recently. For my UK test I had to do 2 of 3, a 3 point turn (actually multipoint turn), parrallel park or reverse around a corner. I did the 3 point turn and the reverse around a corner (downhill) in a stick as well (only way to get a full license), for my California test all I had to do was reverse in a straight line.
