We have recently had our first new addition to the family and we were wondering how you turn the airbag off on the passenger side when we put in the baby seat? Our baby seat faces towards the seat so not ideal to put in the back when one is driving..

It is still best in the back though.
I have a Honda Civic, it has ratchet seat belts in the back specifically for holding in child seats - the Ratchet enables when fully extended.
The airbag in the front cannot be turned off, when you read the manual, Honda specifically say that they have deliberately made it this way to force you to put young ones in the back where they are safest.

in alot of cars the Airbag on/off switch is on the side of the Dash board (drivers i think) when you open the door. So where the door joins the dashboard. Not sure about that illegal to have kids in the front seat though, i was sure you could. Look in the owners manual, its gotta be in there.

Well, just drive the car into a brick wall going about 50 mph (you may want to invest in some crash test dummies). Let the airbag go off and rip that bad boy out. =-)

Congrats on your new addition!

The law on child restraints/seats etc changed last year, I'm giving a link to the new leaflet describing it all :

You dumb ***. A responsable parent never puts a child in the front seat.
Besides, air bags are linked into the bcm and ecm, you cannot dissable them.

dumby its illegal for a baby to sit in the front whether air bag or not. i got stopped with a 10 year old boy in the front. come on... use common sense. keep it in the back ... its ten thousand times safer... AND LEGAL. jeez
