In the hot and humid Chennai, do we really need this rule, the rule makers do not travel in two wheelers and they ride comfartably in an air con car, I feel this is a stupid rules framed by some people sorely to satisfy their ego. Your comments.

At this point I would like to ask a question to our answerers. What would happen if u get ur brain fried by wearing the helmet in the sweltering heat of chennai. I mean I have personally seen people who have had permanent brain damage because they wear helmets and travel around in the heat. The doctors who investigated came up with a reason......... the helmet. What I would suggest to the government is to get the people educated on the traffic rules first and then enforce them so thta there is less accidents and then go on to get people to wear helmets. I mean how stupid can they be, they travel on cars with their ACs on and enforce a bloody rule like that. Give them a bike and tell them to ride it for more than a month, they will do it for the first two days and then be in the bloody hospital for the next four months. ha great leaders they are.

Wearing helmet is for our own safety. Safety does not know whether it is the hot Chennai or cool Kashmir . We often hear about accidential deaths of two wheeler riders due to head injuries.Helmets definetely would have saved these people. So I feel in the general interest of two wheeler riders it is justified in making 'helmet wearing' compulsory.

How much do cars and motorcycles cost there? I met a cabbie in Nepal who said his 1982 Toyota Corolla cost like $6000 USD in 1998. How come the bikes there have such small engines? Is their a tax based on engine displacement?

Thanks. Sucks that you have a helmet law, seems like a fart in the wind compared to other safety measures that the government could take.

see, actually when we are driving a two wheeler we have to be ve
ry careful,if an accident take place the person will be badly injured
sometimes it is fatal to life, comparing to accidents in car two wheeler accidents are dangerous,we can bare the hot,but no one
can bare a pain or injury in life when they are stucked in accident
s so this is a good rule brought up by our government.

helmits save lives and prevent head injuries. Would your family rather see hot or laying in the gutter with brains on the ground? if you cant take the heat stay off the bike....
