I hear so many people saying it's so good to shut off your engine while sitting at a stop light. I for one don't see it being so cost effective in the long run. Wouldn't you be putting wear and tear on your starter and engine? They also say that your car doesn't need to warm up. I was always told that you should let it warm up because oils don't move as quick because it's so thick thus not oiling properly makeing parts vulnerable to failure. Am I the only one who thinks that letting your car warm up for five minutes isn't such a bad thing? Am I the only one thinking that shutting my car off after 10 seconds at a red light is pointless because once my starter goes bad, there goes all my savings on gas? A starter for my truck costs $400. Will I save that much before my starter goes bad? Something to think about.

It seems the steps are always slower than the hand rail. Surely with all the technology available they could accomplish this!

I was staying with a friend in the city last night ... during the night someone picked the lock on my car door and broke into it. The inside of my car was completely trashed! Everything in the glove box and middle console was thrown everywhere. I looked through my stuff and I do not think that anything was stolen. They left my school parking permit, sunglasses, cd's, change, and they even left my checkbook!!! I was so surprised that they did not steal any of this! It was all hidden though - I do not leave anything like that in plain sight. I did have some ATM receipts with my Account # on it and a paycheck stub (no check, just stub). I am just at a loss? Why break in, trash my car and not even take anything ... a checkbook is just as good as cash? I am very very thankful that they did not take anything, but I just don't understand what the point of it was. No windows were broken or anything. My best guess is that they were looking for Xmas presents???

I was told that you can trade your stock car lights for HID lights on the web, but wasn't sure what website (if it exists) to go on. I have a 2006 Scion TC, and wanted some HID lights for a good buy, or swap. If anyone knows about cars or fixing up cars (especially TC's), please any information is good enough.
THANKS!

Hi! I live in Miami and have a friend who just got a ticket for his tinted windows. He went to a place to get the back windows tinted and they put the legal 20% of light, which even car from dealers have. He got stopped by a cop with his front windows down, the cop just looked at the back windows, supposed the front windows were the same way and gave him a ticket of $300 dollars! What can he do? He has the legal tints in the back and the front ones are without them.

A bus is stopped in the middle of a parking lot with no emergency lights flashing. A car, who needs to get through sees the bus, and waits for a minute for something to happen. Car driver is unaware whether to pass through the side of the bus since the windows were tinted and hard to see. Car driver starts to pass through alongside the bus and a passenger from the bus comes out. The bus passenger hits the side of the car and gets minorly injured. Who's at fault? Bus driver, bus passenger, or car driver?

the thing is my dad just lost his job and is thinking about becoming a truck driver. But he doesnt speak the most fluent english. He's a very good driver so I dont doubt that part. I read that you need to take a written test in order to get your cdl. Has anyone here taken that and how hard is it?

My company has purchased us 28 ft trailers to pull behind our pickups. The trucks will be 4 door with a 8ft bed that is almost 26ft with a 28 ft trailer to pull behind . The trucks will be diesel. My question is can we fuel up where the big trucks fuel or do we have to fuel out front where the cars fuel. We have company master cards and if we can fuel up where the big truck do, can we use the cards at the pump. Thanks for answering this Question. David

I failed my driving test today and feel so rubbish about it.

I got 3 fatal mistakes (too close to parked cars, pulled out wrong time at a juntion, and in the wrong lane)

other than that I did O.K but second test will be different manouvers and different roads.

I've booked another test but I feel so down about it (got it 29th january) should I just keep going. or is there a stop point
